ABOUT PRAIRIE ELEMENTS

Prairie Elements is the personal & professional site of Richard St-Pierre, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.

Prairie Elements is a creative outlet, an effort at self-expression, a partial autobiography, and a small, personal window on prairie nature and culture. This site includes a compendium of information on Canadian native plant biology, culture & conservation (including the book Growing Saskatoons - A Manual For Orchardists), several galleries of photos and art, the beginnings of some pages on family history & travel, and Richard's Professional and Outdoor Adventures training, experience and accomplishments.

Prairie Elements was hand-crafted by Richard St-Pierre using a simple text editor (EditPad Lite) and Adobe Photoshop Elements 2. All HTML and CSS coding has been validated by W3C. The image galleries were based on javascript coding freely available from A List Apart and Dynamic Drive.
